The Roswell Mills Camp #1547 is a part of the Army of Tennessee, Georgia Division, 12th Brigade of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. We are committed to serve as a historical, patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to ensuring that a true history of the 1861-1865 War Between the Sates period is preserved.
We meet monthly to fellowship and to expand our knowledge and understanding of our ancestors, their lives and the events surrounding the War Between the states. Our activities include lectures led by authors and historians, field trips to local War Between the States sites and museums and participation in events such as parades and celebrations.
Annually we award one Phillip Cochran Memorial scholarship to a local student who has shown leadership, scholarship and those qualities of honor and integrity that define the southern gentlemen or gentlewoman. An applicant should be a descendant of a Confederate veteran, complete an application and an essay for consideration.
